Flea Market

May through October

For over twenty years the Men's Group of Avon Baptist Church has successfully sponsored a Flea Market on Saturdays. The money raised has helped the financial obligations of our church. We sponsor summer camperships for our youth, and contribute annually to area charities such as the Salvation Army, Habitat for Humanity, and the Avon Community Thanksgiving and Christmas Funds.

Coffee and donuts are available at 7 AM, and the grill opens at 10 AM. Each week our concession stand is operated by a different church or community group. Proceeds are given to that group.

We start on the second Saturday in May and end each year on the last Saturday in October. Hours are from 9 AM to 3 PM. Vendors are required to be set up by 8:30 AM. Our staff arrives at 6:30 AM. Our fees are $25 per section (20 Ft.) .  Table rentals (8 ft) are available for $6 per table. Portable toilets are located behind the dumpster. Clean up is the responsibility of the vendors and we ask that you crush up any boxes and put them in the dumpster, along with policing your area for trash.

Our neighbors at Saint Michael's Catholic Church have a 4:00 Mass--all vendors should be off the premises by 3:45. There are no refunds, due to rain or weather related situations. If it is poor weather, we will cancel.
Once we start we cannot refund money due to inclement weather later on.

Since the Flea Market is held on church property, and is being sponsored by the Men's Fellowship Group of the church, we have established the following guidelines for goods and services that may not be sold:

•  No weapons, firearms, or knives.
•  No pornographic or lewd pictures, film, or artwork.
•  No occult materials--including books and supplies related to witchcraft, astrology, fortune telling, Tarot cards, Ouija boards, etc...
•  No drug or drug-related paraphernalia.
•  No materials promoting or proselytizing for other religions.
•  No boot-leg, or unauthorized materials.
